Designed for high volume card printing programs, the Fargo DTC5500LMX comes with dual-sided printing and lamination standard.
Efficient Card Printing
With print speeds of only 24 seconds for dual-sided full color cards and dual input hoppers that hold 200 cards, you can quickly and efficiently print large numbers of cards with the new Fargo DTC5500LMX.
High-yield ribbons are laminates also let you print hundreds (or thousands, with monochrome ribbons) of cards between replacements, lessening your down time between card batches.
Lamination for Long-lasting Cards
Laminating the cards makes them withstand daily wear and tear better, including swiping a card to enter a building or pay for an item. Because the laminated cards will last longer, you will save time and money by replacing cards less often.
The DTC5500LMX comes standard with single and dual-sided printing, as long as you’re using the same lamination on both sides of the cards. If you need to use different lamination film for the front and back (for use with smart chip cards, signature panel cards, or magnetic stripe cards, for example), you will need to upgrade to the dual material lamination.
With the DTC5500LMX, Fargo has also introduced their new lamination designed to reduce waste. These ribbons are high-yield, with no edges between cards so the entire lamination film is used on each card. There’s also a single spool, cutting the amount of waste up to 50% compared to normal ribbons.
